Kachik, John

John Kachik is an alumnus and occasional adjunct faculty at the Maryland Institute College of Art where he studied illustration and sculpture. He has been working as a freelance illustrator and fine artist since graduating with honors in 1984. Some of his favorite jobs include work with Shiner Beers, Mini Cooper and Bloomingdale's. His clients include such magazines as Rolling Stone, Forbes, Sports Illustrated, The Wall Street Journal, Business Week and Texas Monthly as well as publishers like Random House, W.W. Norton & Company, and Simon & Schuster. John's work has been honored by Communication Arts, Graphis, Society of Publication Designers, Society of Illustrators, Print Annual, The Los Angeles Society of Illustrators, American Illustration and the One Show. He also has a permanent collection of ten portraits in exhibition at The Caring Foundation, a Smithsonian associated gallery in Washington DC. He has designed a tile mural installation as part of the Art, Architecture Enhancements and Exhibitions at the Baltimore/ Washington International Airport. His work has been twice featured in Step by Step Graphics and The Visual Quickstart Guide to Photoshop by Peachpit Press. When not working at his drawing table, John can be found coaching his daughters in numerous sports with an emphasis on high level competitive girls travel soccer. John makes his home in Sykesville Maryland with his wife Maria and daughters Emily and Isabel, and their dog Mia.

Vitale, Stefano

Stefano Vitale is an internationally acclaimed illustrator and artist. While studying for a degree in Economics at the University of Southern California, he often traveled to Mexico and the Southwest. There he found inspiration in the simplicity of the popular local folk art. This influenced him so much that when he completed his economics degree Vitale continued at The Arts Center in Pasadena, California for a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Vitale’s oil paintings on wood have earned him international awards and a retrospective of his life’s work in his hometown of Padua, Italy. Todd Carosielli is a visual artist specializing in creating CGI illustrations for print advertising. Faust, Richard

Richard Faust is rarely without his sketchbook, which can be better described as a visual journal and confessional. Over the years, his bookshelf full of journals have become a source to be mined for interesting ideas and insights. He also draws inspiration from mid-century design, cubism, and folk art. He has been illustrating commercial products for over ten years. After completing his BFA at The Columbus College of Art & Design, he began his career illustrating for magazine and book publishers as well as for the greeting card market. Haake, Martin

Martin Haake is an internationally known illustrator and artist. Reis, Thomas

Tom began work as senior art director for JP Morgan Chase in New York City, shortly after receiving his MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute in 1993. Two years later, he was illustrating for nationally-known publications, including Time magazine, Rolling Stone, the Wall Street Journal, Entertainment Weekly, Sports Illustrated, Business Week, TV Guide, Barron's, Forbes and Smart Money. Corporate clients have included MGM, Dupont and Colgate. Throughout his career, Reis has also worked as a fine artist, producing work with all the refinement that one would expect from a classically trained painter.
