Lorenz, Lee

Lee Lorenz has distinguished himself both as a cartoonist and as an expert on humor and laughter throughout the last 60 years. His cartoons are unique yet traditional, with a brush line charged with energy and a punch line always on the mark. Lorenz first published cartoon appeared in Colliers in 1956, and two years later he became a contract contributor to The New Yorker, which has published more than 1,600 of his drawings. He was The New Yorker's art editor for 25 years, from 1973 until 1993, continuing as cartoon editor until 1997. His current clients include The New Yorker, Departures and corporate accounts such as West Jet.

Koren, Edward

Edward Koren has long been associated with The New Yorker magazine, where he has published over 900 cartoons and numerous covers. Famously fuzzy, furry at times, Ed’s people and animals have delightful snouts, smiles, and mannerisms that remind us of the pleasanter sides of self-image. Clients include: New Yorker, New York Times and most recently Hermes.

Rébora, Cecilia

Born in Guadalajara, Mexico, Cecilia Rebora belongs to a creative family of painters, a sculptor, and a wood carver. As long as she can remember, Cecilia could be found with a crayon in her hand. Shortly after beginning her studies in the arts, Cecilia discovered that what she enjoyed most in life was telling stories with pictures. She studied for three years at the Josep Serra I Abella School of Fine Arts in Barcelona. It was there that she truly fell in love with the profession. She has since published 18 children’s books and contributes to a popular children’s magazine called Tareas E Ilustraciones. She and her husband, Luis, have welcomed a new edition to their family named Mateo, a delightful boy who sleeps most of the time. When not illustrating, she enjoys sipping a hot cappuccino and taking in the sun on a chilly morning. Cecilia’s goals are to continue illustrating for a very long time and to always see the smile on her son’s face.

Krall, Hawk

Hawk Krall is a Philadelphia - based illustrator who specializes in colorful, dynamic type-driven food illustration that goes beyond the surface, informed by several years spent as a professional line cook.

Along with the food related work Mr Krall has been doing humorous, jam-packed editorial illustration for magazines and newspapers since graduating from Pratt Institute in 1999.

His work has been recognized by the Society Of Professional Journalists, Society Of Illustrators and Art Of The Menu.

Petit-Roulet, Philippe

Robertson, Michael

Born and raised in northern Ohio, Michael graduated from Bowling Green State University with a degree in painting. He spent ten years as a toy designer and character developer, before trying his hand at illustration. His work has appeared on many children's products, greeting cards and magazines, and has been recognized by the Society of Illustrators. An avid collector of mid-century art and design since the 80's, Michael's vast array of influences include many modern masters such as Calder and Miro, as well as illustrators like Jim Flora, Alice and Martin Provensen, and Mary Bair. Michael lives in a spacious industrial warehouse loft in downtown Cleveland, where he enjoys painting, cooking and listening to the extensive collection of vintage soul, jazz, and Brazilian music he has acquired over the years.

Simard, Rémy

Originally a student of political science, French-Canadian artist Rémy Simard began his career as an illustrator in 1980. Working from Montreal, he creates computer-generated illustration for a large variety of clients including Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, Federal Express, General Motors, Citibank, Fidelity Communications, Better Homes & Gardens, Book-of-the-Month Club, McGraw-Hill and Scott Foresman, in the U.S.; and Chrysler, Nissan, Banque Nationale de Paris, Cantel, Ville de Montreal and YTV in Canada. He has also written and illustrated several children's' books, including Monsieur Noir et Blanc, a finalist for Canada's Governor's Prize. Pamintuan, Macky

Macky Pamintuan was born and raised in Davao, a city in the southern Philippines. As a young child, drawing was his favorite pastime and an activity that brought him delight and satisfaction. Early on, his parents discovered that giving him paper and pencil was a sure way to keep him busy, quiet, and out of trouble. He still remembers the day when he successfully drew Mickey Mouse and Superman, a huge breakthrough and a sweet triumph. He moved to San Francisco at age 21 and in 1998 enrolled in the Academy of Art College to pursue illustration. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in December 2003. When not illustrating, Macky enjoys playing basketball, his other true passion.
