The collection of animals were done for Penguin Books Astrology series "Sydney Omarr" The ship drawings were created for the maritime industry. They were drawn on-location during Fleet Week in New york Harbor.

Alessia was born in Milan, Italy where she currently resides. She has been drawing since early childhood and realized early on that she would turn her hobby into a rewarding career as an illustrator. Valentina was born in Cuneo, a small town near Turin, Italy. As a young child, she was always drawing and painting. She spent most of her time creating that she often missed her school bus because she did not want to leave her poor crayons and pencils at home. I'm a UK based illustrator, brought up in SW England. I spent 4 years studying illustration at art college in Cornwall, followed by a couple of years working at an commercial illustration studio then 20 plus years living in Oxford as a freelancer. LeBarre, Erika

Erika LeBarre has always been exposed to art one way or another as she grew up. Her father worked as a car designer for the big three, and her mother was a ceramicist. O'Kif, Alejandro

Alejandro Okif lives in Buenos Aires with his creative family, his wife Monica (illustrator), son Sebastian (musician) and daughter, Simona (illustrator and tattoo artist). As a young boy, his father who worked in advertising introduced him to the arts. As a result, he was totally hooked and started drawing immediately. When he was at Facultad de Humanidades y Artes de Rosario, he was drawn to Egon Schiele, Rembrandt, Goya, and Lautrec. Faust, Richard

Richard Faust is rarely without his sketchbook, which can be better described as a visual journal and confessional. Over the years, his bookshelf full of journals have become a source to be mined for interesting ideas and insights. He also draws inspiration from mid-century design, cubism, and folk art. He has been illustrating commercial products for over ten years. After completing his BFA at The Columbus College of Art & Design, he began his career illustrating for magazine and book publishers as well as for the greeting card market. His work was featured in the 2007 Society of Illustrators Annual. His paintings have been exhibited throughout the Cleveland area, including two sold-out solo shows.

Robertson, Michael

Born and raised in northern Ohio, Michael graduated from Bowling Green State University with a degree in painting. He spent ten years as a toy designer and character developer, before trying his hand at illustration. His work has appeared on many children's products, greeting cards and magazines, and has been recognized by the Society of Illustrators. An avid collector of mid-century art and design since the 80's, Michael's vast array of influences include many modern masters such as Calder and Miro, as well as illustrators like Jim Flora, Alice and Martin Provensen, and Mary Bair. Michael lives in a spacious industrial warehouse loft in downtown Cleveland, where he enjoys painting, cooking and listening to the extensive collection of vintage soul, jazz, and Brazilian music he has acquired over the years.

Crawford, Susan

After giving marine biology a try in college, Susan decided to fall back on a more stable and lucrative profession: illustration. With her artist/writer husband Allen Crawford, she formed Plankton Art Company in 1999. Susan's stylized, graceful forms are largely inspired by nature and mid-century modernism. She has worked for Target, Warner Bros., Chronicle Books, Knopf, Ride Snowboards, Hasbro, National Geographic Kids Magazine, Discovery Channel and The Smithsonian National Zoo. The most ambitious project she's ever worked on was a series of 400 hand-rendered identification key illustrations of fish, plants and other undersea creatures for The American Museum of Natural History's Milstein Hall of Ocean Life, where her drawings are on permanent display. Susan's paintings and drawings have been exhibited at numerous galleries, most notably Jonathan LeVine Gallery in Chelsea. She lives in a historic Quaker town in Central New Jersey, where she often goes on kayak trips in the Pine Barrens to look for tree frogs and orchids.

Walter, Stephan

Stephan Walter lives and works in Zurich where he was born in 1982. Stephan started work in the graphic design world at an advertising agency. During his time at the agency he made up his mind that the only way for him to express his passion in graphic design was for him to become self-employed! Stephan studied Graphic and Media Design at the F&F School for Art and Media Design. After graduating, Stephan pursued his dream. He worked for the F&F School, Freitag AG and for some local bands from Zurich. During this time Stephan was resolving his own style and approach. Frazier, Jim

After he earned a BFA in Advertising Design from North Texas State University in 1980, Jim Frazier established himself as a print and broadcast art director at various Dallas advertising agencies. By 1990, agency work could no longer contain his diverse creative urges, so he went into business for himself. The result has been a growing recognition for the stylish conceptual images he has created for a wide range of corporate, financial, and editorial clients.
