In my opinion, artists who design have a more holistic perspective on seeing a composition as more than the sum of its parts. As Owner and Director of Curio Studio Inc. for 20 years, I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about how different elements complement and balance each other.

My art and illustration is a chance to be more creative, playful, and expressive, but I still obsess with arranging and experimenting so the final work feels cohesive, coherent, and lively.

  • Illustration

Handcrafted, unique lines that are confident and made in the moment—the result of 20 years of practice and constant inspiration from nature and people.

  • Fine Art & Licensing

I approach art like graphic design: The fun is in choosing which different media, tools, skills, and styles will work best within the composition. Currently obsessed with natural inks and mixing traditional with digital.

  • Comics & Lettering

A favourite challenge: Setting a scene, choosing a focal point, and arranging hand-drawn elements to create a cohesive, coherent panel. Also, it turns out I love drawing chubby babies. Know Thyself, right?
