Vitale, Stefano

Stefano Vitale is an internationally acclaimed illustrator and artist. While studying for a degree in Economics at the University of Southern California, he often traveled to Mexico and the Southwest. There he found inspiration in the simplicity of the popular local folk art. This influenced him so much that when he completed his economics degree Vitale continued at The Arts Center in Pasadena, California for a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Vitale’s oil paintings on wood have earned him international awards and a retrospective of his life’s work in his hometown of Padua, Italy. Vitale is best known for his beautiful folk-style which has earned him numerous awards and a reputation as one of the most sought after children’s book illustrators. Sarah Walsh is an internationally published illustrator who's project range spans from picture books, apparel, home decor and greeting cards to name a few. Her work has also been featured on Creative Pep Talk, Buzzfeed & The Jealous Curator. Sarah has been a working artist since 2001, starting out as a designer/illustrator hybrid at Hallmark Cards in Kansas City. Belloni, Valentina

Valentina was born in Cuneo, a small town near Turin, Italy. As a young child, she was always drawing and painting. She spent most of her time creating that she often missed her school bus because she did not want to leave her poor crayons and pencils at home. Growing up, she wanted to be a veterinarian, an archeologist or even an astronaut. However, she spent most of her free time drawing and taking painting classes. As a result, she finally decided to make her great passion into a career. Valentina attended 3 years at IED ( European Institute of Design) in Turin and studied juvenile illustration. Robert and his wife, also an accomplished artist, have one daughter. Lemay, Violet

As a girl in the happy land of St. Louis, Missouri, Violet Lemay was always drawing and making things with her hands. When she grew up, she became a costume and set designer and moved to New York City, which was a lot of fun. Even though she loved her work and living in NYC, Violet realized that her true dream was to illustrate books for children. She moved south to attend a school for illustrators. Since then, Violet has illustrated eighteen books for children (including Isabella's Shoe Studio, which she also wrote), with more on the way—mostly for duopress, her favorite publisher, for whom she also acts as art director.
Violet and her husband Fred have a 12-year-old son, Gray, who is a junior artist/architect/city planner, and is the joy of their lives.
