Kachik, John

John Kachik is an alumnus and occasional adjunct faculty at the Maryland Institute College of Art where he studied illustration and sculpture. He has been working as a freelance illustrator and fine artist since graduating with honors in 1984. Some of his favorite jobs include work with Shiner Beers, Mini Cooper and Bloomingdale's. His clients include such magazines as Rolling Stone, Forbes, Sports Illustrated, The Wall Street Journal, Business Week and Texas Monthly as well as publishers like Random House, W.W. Norton & Company, and Simon & Schuster. John's work has been honored by Communication Arts, Graphis, Society of Publication Designers, Society of Illustrators, Print Annual, The Los Angeles Society of Illustrators, American Illustration and the One Show. He also has a permanent collection of ten portraits in exhibition at The Caring Foundation, a Smithsonian associated gallery in Washington DC. He has designed a tile mural installation as part of the Art, Architecture Enhancements and Exhibitions at the Baltimore/ Washington International Airport. His work has been twice featured in Step by Step Graphics and The Visual Quickstart Guide to Photoshop by Peachpit Press. When not working at his drawing table, John can be found coaching his daughters in numerous sports with an emphasis on high level competitive girls travel soccer. John makes his home in Sykesville Maryland with his wife Maria and daughters Emily and Isabel, and their dog Mia.

Rodriguez, Robert

Born in New Orleans, Rodriguez has lived in California since 1965. He graduated from Chouinard Art Institute in 1969, and began freelancing as an illustrator. Over the years his style has evolved through many phases. He currently illustrates as himself and as the primary artist in his studio 24/7. Some of the projects he’s especially enjoyed working on include the poster for SuperBowl XXVI, The NFL for 2002 Christmas card , movie posters for The Two Jakes, The Jewel of the Nile, and City Slicker’s II, the dvd cover for The Adventures of Robin Hood, the NBA All-Star Game poster, basketball trading cards, six Ringling Bros. Circus posters, posters for the National Hispanic Scholarship fund, calendars and posters for the National Federation of Labor, many covers for Der Spiegel Magazine, theater posters for the Hartford Stage and the Mark Taper Forum. Rodriguez illustrated the Cesar Chavez postage stamp for the United States Postal Service and Designer Carl Herrman. Mr. Herrman has also commissioned Rodriguez for the Cinco De Mayo Stamp and the Celebrate the Century “1980’s” series of stamps. The Cinco De Mayo stamp was the first postage stamp ever jointly.commissioned by the United States and another country {Mexico} He has won five gold medals and four silver medals, as well as two Patrick Nagel Awards from SILA, the Hollywood Reporter Key Arts Award, many regional awards from across the country, the Airbrush Action Achievement Award, and the great teacher award from Art Center.


Our studio produces award-winning pictures in a variety of styles. Our images start with the pencil, always, and finish with digital collage, monoprints, and screen prints. Our clients include the De Young Museum, the New Yorker, the San Francisco International Film Festival, and Farrar Strauss Giroux.

Griffo, Daniel

Daniel Griffo was born on March 8th, 1973 in La Plata, Argentina, where he currently resides with his wife Elba, his baby boy Benjamin and his two pets Indiana and Jones. As a young child, he was always drawn towards creating and drawing images. At 10, he took his first steps into the world of illustration with the guidance of his drawing and painting instructor who taught him the basic foundations of the craft. In his teens, he became a self-taught comic illustrator and worked for both Argentinean and Italian publishers. Shortly afterwards, he worked for various studios creating licensed art, where he sharpened his skills and amassed a great deal of experience. As a freelance illustrator, Daniel has worked for many large companies including Image Comics, Warner, DC, and Disney. In his portfolio, you will find traditional and digital images, layout color, story boards, comic book art, inks, lettering, children and adult illustration, character development, and 3D models – Daniel is truly a jack-of-all-trades.

Cerda, Marta

Marta Cerdà is a Barcelona based graphic designer, illustrator and typographer. After finishing college Marta Cerdà worked in house at Toormix where she learnt a lot of her skills. On leaving Toormix Marta Cerdà went on to work at Vasava for 2 years. Since leaving Marta Cerdà has worked on projects for Kia, Kleenex, Zoo York, Coca Cola, Beautiful Decay and Diesel.

Haake, Martin

Martin Haake is an internationally known illustrator and artist. After some years living in London, Martin moved back to Berlin where he lives with his wife and his two sons who both want to grow up to be pirates!(the old fashioned kind of course). He has been working as a freelance illustrator for about 14 years for clients all over the world: Barnes & Noble, The Royal Society of Arts, Penguin Books, The Boston Globe, Travel & Leisure, Elle and the Shangri-la Hotel, Hongkong to name a few. Martin Haake's work has been selected for many illustration and design annuals. He is a big fan of American Folk art and is collecting telephone doodles.

Christoph, Jamey

A "Sunshine State" native, Jamey Christoph studied illustration at the Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida. His stylish illustrations appear regularly in major newspapers,and magazines and have received multiple recognitions from the Society of Illustrators and Communication Arts. After many years in Cleveland's historic Ohio City neighborhood, he and his partner Brad moved to Arlington Virginia. His dogs, Spencer and Owen are always ready for a walk.

Since graduation from London's Royal College of Art, Andy's work has featured in advertising campaigns, book jackets, editorials, animations and interiors earning him D&AD, AOI and Creative Circle awards for clients such as Nike, Expedia, Vauxhall, Mercedes, Vodafone,The Sunday Times and Random House. His work is about characters, humour and events and is inspired by his immediate surroundings to create a visual world that is all his own. Illustrations are combined with strong typography and copywriting skills to create work that speaks for itself. His work has the feel of a silkscreen print despite being created digitally.

Adams, Lisa

Born in Vermont, Manhattan based for years -quirky wit and ironic edge inform the illustrations of Lisa Adams. A graduate of the Pratt Institute, Lisa has been making art since she could hold a pencil. This former Tribecan recently relocated to Mystic, CT and now lives on a sheep farm on the ocean. She has painted only 3 sheep so far but she does sail a lot. Using a mix of super-realism, collage, outsider art and hand-lettering, Lisa has garnered a reputation for her map illustrations showcasing her own world of nautical elements and charming unexpected icons. And, she still wears Prada around the farm.

Walter, Stephan

Stephan Walter lives and works in Zurich where he was born in 1982. Stephan started work in the graphic design world at an advertising agency. During his time at the agency he made up his mind that the only way for him to express his passion in graphic design was for him to become self-employed! Stephan studied Graphic and Media Design at the F&F School for Art and Media Design. After graduating, Stephan pursued his dream. He worked for the F&F School, Freitag AG and for some local bands from Zurich. During this time Stephan was resolving his own style and approach. He quickly developed his own picture language by learning a lot of techniques related to handling alternative design softwares. A year after graduating, Stephan flew to New York to conduct research and development work with Stefan Sagmeister. Stephan has now practiced for six years as an independent illustrator and graphic designer trading under his own brand name of radionacional.
